What Is LED Light

LED light is a light-emitting diode product that is assembled into a lamp or a light bulb for use in lighting fixtures. LED lights have a lifespan and electrical efficiency several times better than that of incandescent lights, and significantly better than that of most fluorescent lights, with some chips able to emit more than 100 lumens per watt. Like incandescent lights and unlike most fluorescent lights, LED lights come to full brightness without need for a warm-up time.

Some LED lights are made to be a directly compatible drop-in replacement for incandescent or fluorescent lights. An LED light packaging may show the lumen output, power consumption in watts, color temperature in kelvins, operating temperature range, and sometimes the equivalent wattage of an incandescent lamp of similar luminous output.

Most LED lights do not emit light in all directions, and their directional characteristics affect the design of lights, although omnidirectional lights which radiate light over a 360° angle are becoming more common. 
 
LEDs using the color-mixing principle can emit a wide range of colors by changing the proportions of light generated in each primary color. That allows full color mixing in lights with LEDs of different colors. Unlike other lighting technologies, LED emission tends to be directional or at least lambertian, which can be either advantageous or disadvantageous, depending on requirements. For applications where non-directional light is required, either a diffuser is used, or multiple individual LED emitters are used to emit in different directions.

LED light is really excellent and amazing, suitable for both general and special-purpose lighting. Compared with incandescent light and fluorescent light, the LED light is more practical and functional for daily use.
